Have questions about NextGen DLM? We have answers. Find everything you need to know about speeds, safety, and compatibility below.

What is NextGen DLM and how does it work?
NextGen DLM is a premium download accelerator for Windows. It works by splitting files into 16 parallel segments and downloading them simultaneously, bypassing server throttling.
Is NextGen DLM completely free to use?
Yes, the core NextGen DLM software is 100% free to download and use without hidden fees or time limits.
How much faster is it compared to Chrome?
Because standard browsers use single-threaded connections, NextGen DLM can accelerate speeds up to 16x depending on your network adapter and ISP.
Is it safe from viruses and malware?
Absolutely. It is built from the ground up using memory-safe Rust, preventing common vulnerabilities. It is strictly vetted by VirusTotal.
Does it support downloading 4K videos?
Yes, our built-in Media Sniffer can detect and download uncompressed 4K HLS and M3U8 video streams from most major platforms.
Can I resume broken downloads?
Yes. If your PC loses power or drops Wi-Fi, NextGen DLM saves your exact progress. You can resume the download later without starting over.
Does NextGen DLM work on Mac or Linux?
Currently, NextGen DLM is optimized exclusively for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Mac and Linux versions are planned for future releases.
How does Snail Mode help gamers?
Snail Mode is a one-click bandwidth limiter. It throttles your download speed so you can maintain low ping while playing online games.
Why do my Chrome downloads keep failing?
Chrome often drops large files due to network timeouts. NextGen DLM’s multi-threaded engine bypasses these timeout windows completely.
Is there a browser extension?
Yes, we offer a lightweight Chrome and Edge extension that automatically intercepts download clicks and routes them to the desktop app.
Does it support BitTorrent or Magnet links?
We currently focus exclusively on HTTP/HTTPS and FTP acceleration. BitTorrent support is not currently available.
How does the Media Sniffer work?
The Media Sniffer silently monitors network traffic in the background, identifying raw video streams hidden by website players.
